This policy describes how personal data collected through this website is handled. Our commitment is to collect only what is strictly necessary and to treat it with strict confidentiality.

Data controller

This website is a memorial project dedicated to the work of the painter Chikako Taketani (1962–2013), maintained by her family. For any matter concerning the handling of personal data, you can use the contact form or write to info@chikakotaketani.com.

Data we collect

Through the contact form we collect your name, email address, subject and message. We do not use any other mechanism to actively collect personal data.

The server may temporarily record IP addresses and technical metadata (date, browser) strictly for technical and security purposes.

Purpose and legal basis

The data submitted through the form is used solely to reply to your enquiry about the work, exhibitions, reproductions or any other matter you wish to raise.

The legal basis for processing is your explicit consent, given when sending the form, together with the legitimate interest of holding a private conversation with you about the enquiry.

Data retention

Messages are kept for as long as is reasonably necessary to handle the enquiry and maintain a record of the correspondence. You may request their deletion at any time.

Third-party services

The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA to prevent automated submissions. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

This site uses Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation to generate aggregated browsing statistics. Analytics are only activated if you give consent in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.

The site is hosted by Namecheap (Stellar), which may process technical connection data for hosting and security purposes.

Cookies

This site does not install any first-party cookies. If you accept the consent banner, Google Analytics cookies are loaded to generate aggregated statistics. If you decline, no third-party cookies are loaded.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to request its portability. To exercise these rights, write to info@chikakotaketani.com.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Catalan Data Protection Authority (apdcat.gencat.cat) or the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

Changes to this policy
